Version 3.8, May 5, 2025
DBEdit uses a dual-license model:
Free Edition
Licensed under the MIT License. You can use it freely, including for commercial purposes.
Standard and Enterprise Editions
Licensed under a proprietary End-User License Agreement (EULA). These editions offer extended features and priority technical support.
DBEdit is more than just a database editor.
You can create complex corporate applications by configuring its features with the SaveToDB Framework.
These applications are compatible with the SaveToDB add-in for Excel, as well as DBGate and ODataDB web applications.
We recommend trying the DBEdit SDK examples for Microsoft SQL Server, which are available online.
After that, you can install and explore examples for Oracle Database, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other platforms.
Note that the installer uses dbsetup.exe included with DBEdit, which may require you to log on or log off.
You can use DBEdit for free to retrieve data from databases.
You can also save changes to local databases and tables on remote databases.
Activate the trial version for 30 days at any time to test all features.
To activate the trial, click Help, then Register Product. After that, restart DBEdit.
DBEdit registers the *.dbsx file extension with DBEdit.
If you have trouble opening DBEdit workbooks, right-click the file, select Open With, and choose DBEdit.
